I always make the external monitor 0 contrast. To me non HDPI feels like lowering the contrast. It's interesting to note that I always keep them to the latest OS (mostly due to enforced IT policy) and I never felt like the new OS is worse or that any app upgrade makes it worse (except the Firefox with the new gui in recent years, but I don't use it anyways) That does not seem to affect me.Īlso never using things like Flux or night modes, as I always wear yellow tints (currently tinted prescription, but Gunnars in the past). I also have disabled font aliasing and keeping the brightness low, 10-20% probably. My private Air Book was not that bad as the retina one, but I use the app on it too.
